How I Plan My Week with Intention 🗓️✨
By The Everyday Edit
Planning used to feel like a chore. Now, it feels like self-care. Here’s how I intentionally map out my week so I can feel more grounded, clear-headed, and (dare I say) joyful 💛.
🌤️ 1. Sunday Reset Ritual
Sunday evenings are sacred. I pour a cup of tea 🍵, light a candle 🕯️, and open my planner.
I start with a brain dump: everything swirling in my mind goes onto paper.
Then, I check my digital calendar and align it with my planner.
I block off non-negotiables like workouts, family time, and solo rest.
This helps me start Monday with clarity, not chaos.
🧭 2. Set Weekly Intentions
Instead of just focusing on tasks, I pick themes for the week:
“Slow and steady” if I need to pace myself 🐢
“Show up with confidence” when I’m stepping into something new 💃
Intentions help me lead with purpose, not just productivity.
🪄 3. Prioritize the Top 3
Each day, I choose my Top 3 Must-Do's ✅
Too many tasks leads to overwhelm. Three is doable, satisfying, and keeps me focused on what actually matters.
Bonus: I try to knock out the toughest one before lunch — it makes the rest of the day feel lighter 🍃.
🧘♀️ 4. Plan for Energy, Not Just Time
Not all hours feel equal. I’m most focused in the mornings, so I:
Schedule deep work or writing then
Use afternoons for calls, errands, or lighter admin
It’s a simple shift that’s changed everything for my focus and mood.
💖 5. Leave Room for Life
I always leave space in my week for the unexpected:
Buffer time between meetings
Open evenings to rest or reconnect
I’m not a robot, and my schedule shouldn’t be either.
🌱 6. Reflect & Refine
At the end of the week, I ask:
What worked?
What drained me?
What felt nourishing?
These tiny reflections help me plan smarter — not harder — next time.
Planning with intention isn’t about being rigid. It’s about designing a week that reflects your values, rhythms, and real life. And when you do that? Life flows a little sweeter 💫.
