🧘‍♀️ Weekend Reset Routine: How I Reboot My Mind & Space for a New Week

by The Everyday Edit

1. Sleep In (Just a Little) 😴

Weekdays are all go-go-go, so I give myself permission to wake up a bit later on weekends. That extra hour of rest feels luxurious and helps me start the day without feeling rushed. I try not to overdo it, though—just enough to recharge without messing up my sleep schedule.

2. Hydrate & Nourish 💧🥑

My reset starts with water—lots of it. I fill up a tall bottle as soon as I’m up, then enjoy a nourishing breakfast like avocado toast or a smoothie bowl. Hydrating first thing flushes out toxins, and eating something wholesome gives me the energy to actually want to do my reset routine.

3. Tidy Your Space 🧹✨

Clutter clouds my mind, so I do a quick 30-minute tidy of key areas: kitchen counters, the bathroom vanity, and my nightstand. I light a candle or diffuse oils to make the space feel fresh and peaceful. It’s amazing how even a light clean can transform my energy for the whole weekend.

4. Laundry + Linens Day 🧺🛏️

Fresh sheets = fresh mindset. I wash our bedding and towels every Sunday. Folding laundry while watching a cozy show makes it feel less like a chore and more like self-care. Bonus points if I remember to spritz lavender spray on the pillows afterward!

5. Digital Detox for a Few Hours 📵🌿

At some point during the weekend, I silence notifications, put the phone away, and disconnect. Whether I journal, take a walk, or simply do nothing—those hours away from screens bring clarity and creativity back into my life.

6. Weekly Planner Session 🗓️🖊️

Before the weekend wraps, I take out my planner and do a “mind dump” of everything swirling in my head—appointments, meal ideas, tasks. Then I block out my time for the week ahead. It helps reduce that dreaded Sunday anxiety and sets me up for success.

7. Pamper Time 🛁🧴

I end my reset with a little self-pampering. Think: a long bath, hair mask, face steam, or just moisturizing slowly while listening to calm music. These little rituals remind me to treat myself kindly before stepping into a new week of responsibilities.
